CopyLion: Product Import (the "App") is provided by North Park Design ("we", "us"). It helps Shopify merchants create products from supplier invoices and supplier web pages. This policy explains what information the App collects, why we collect it and how it is handled when a merchant installs the App.
Information we collect
Merchant and store information. When you install the App we receive your shop domain, an access token issued by Shopify and basic details about the staff account that installed the App (such as name and email address), as provided by Shopify's authentication process.
Import information. When you run an import, we store what you give us and what the App produces from it. This includes invoice line items (such as SKUs, product names, quantities and prices), the supplier links you enter or approve, product details read from those supplier pages (titles, descriptions, options, variants, image links and prices), generated descriptions, and the IDs of products the App creates in your store.
Invoice files. PDF and image invoices you upload are sent to our AI provider to read the line items. We keep the extracted line items, not the original file.
App settings and usage. We store your pricing rules, markup, image limits and other settings, your plan, and a record of fetches and billable usage so we can apply plan limits and report usage charges to Shopify.
The App creates and updates products and inventory in your store. It does not request access to customer, order or checkout data, and it does not run on your storefront.
How we use information
- To read your invoices, find and read supplier product pages, and create the product drafts you approve.
- To apply your pricing rules and settings.
- To provide support and fix problems.
- To apply your plan limits and process billing through Shopify.
We do not sell information or use it for advertising.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run the App: Shopify (platform and billing), Cloudflare (hosting, data storage, page rendering and AI request routing), OpenAI (reading invoices, choosing product images and writing descriptions) and Brave Search (searching the web for invoice items using product names, brands and SKUs). OpenAI does not use data sent through its API to train its models. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Retention and deletion
We keep store, settings and import information while the App is installed. When you uninstall the App, we delete your store's sessions. Shopify then sends us a data erasure request (shop/redact), and we delete your store record, settings, import batches, imported product data and usage records. Products already created in your Shopify store stay in your store. The App does not store customer personal data, so customer data requests and customer redaction requests sent by Shopify have nothing to return or delete. We still respond to them as required.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Access tokens are stored securely and used only to create and update the products you import.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information. To make a request, contact us at the address below. Shoppers should contact the store they purchased from, and that store can submit a request through Shopify.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
